opportunity to recruit other first-time donors.
By helping the Red Cross reach out to the
95% of the eligible population that does not
donate blood, you can be a hero to the hospital
patients (and their families) that rely on
a safe and adequate blood supply when they
need it most. |
| Plus, as an "Ambassador", you
will be honored for your efforts at a special
ceremony each year, and be eligible for recognition
as the top blood recruiter in your local market.
You'll even earn 40 Points for every new donor
you recruit to donate blood! |
| "Ambassadors for Life" is a grassroots
recruitment program developed in response
to the ever-growing need for new blood donors,
due in large part to tremendous medical advances
that have resulted in more lifesaving procedures
that require blood components. You see, only
5% of the eligible population donates blood,
yet most of us will either need blood at some
time in our life, or know a friend or loved
one that will need blood. |
| That's why we need your help, whether you
are currently a donor, used to be a donor,
or have never donated before. |
| Simply by reaching out to your personal
contact base--your friends, family and neighbors--you
can influence people in a way we often can't.
The number one reason people don't donate
blood is because they are never asked. And
that's where you come in... YOU are the most
powerful partner we have! |
| So how does the program work? Just enroll
below as an "Ambassador for Life"
and we will send you a special Ambassadors
Toolkit in the form of a PDF file. This toolkit
contains sample letters, e-mails, and other
materials that you can utilize to invite others
to give the "Gift of Life". Just
insert your name and donor ID (so we can track
these donations back to you) and away you
go. Every time a new donor comes in as a result
of your efforts, you will be notified by e-mail,
and your "Points for Pints" account
will be credited with 40 points. |
| What an exciting and rewarding way to make
a difference in the lives of so many people.
Even if you used to donate blood, but perhaps
can no longer give due to a medical or travel
related deferral, "Ambassadors for Life"
offers you the chance to get back in the game.
